Taken in St. Giles' Cathedral, Edinburgh. The tomb of Jacobi Graham. I've uploaded a similar shot already but the lighting (through the stained glass window) is much more pronounced in this one.
I must say, Ray, that I love the subtle colors on this image. You nailed it in your narrative in mentioning the light coming through the stained glass windows. If I had to fault anything in this shot, I would say that the bit of stained glass in the upper right draws the eye away from the reflected light. However, since I don't have to fault anything in the shot, never mind. Beautifully composed, championship level job on the lighting. Another beauty.
Without benefit of narrative the presence of the stained glass window shows us the source of that beautiful lighting...it's a marvellous shot and I really like the decorative architecture here as well.
They are both wonderful captures Ray. The lighting is quite nice in this one, with the brightness and colors from the stained glass, but I felt like the dimmer lighting in the other image was so fitting for the subject.
