Very good birds view,the picture is rather nice.

You did very well with this one, John. It almost looks like that pair are carrying a conversation about right-of-way. This is a photograph that has high technical merit with only a hint of image motion. White, grays, and blues are beautifully intermingled for a pleasant feel. The only issue I have is purely subjective, and that is one of balance. Personally, I believe this very nice shot would look a tad better in a square format or even a vertical to lop of some of the excess bright white on the right. I'd proudly hang this on my wall, too. 7/10

It is a nicely exposed shot and a dramatic composition. In fact you did remarkably well with an against the sky shot. I've sent you an alternative option that recovers much more of the gulls tonal range. Don's remarks are accurate for this submission but the correction in tonal range makes the composition quite acceptable. It's unfortunate that Caedes doesn't have the facility to include a rework with the comments.
