Don't know what these little blooms are, but they looked like tiny stars to me.

Carol, I was mislead to a certain extent by the surrounding vegetation. At full screen size one can see the by these flowers belonging vegetation. Therefore I think they are mini tulips, enjoying the sunshine. As reward they have spread their petals fully.
