Wow ... riveting capture. Every single aspect of this scene has been captured perfectly. Unique, original and this scene really draws you in. Favorite for me. Bravo.
I once had to reassemble and reconnect one of these archaic machines. Old as they are, looking like decrepit Martian vehicles from an H.G. Wells story, they are actually remarkably efficient and ingenious in the manner in which they operate, to keep a wooden or galvanized metal watering *hole* full of water for cattle. No one needed to tend it; any time the wind blew, it would pump fresh well water to the surface. Your capture, Carol, has turned a utilitarian machine of the past into a work of art. But then, that is precisely the niche you have built for yourself here at Caedes. Bravo!
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
Carol, I suppose that this very fine capture will be your entry for the current 'Motion Blur' contest. If so, it's a very appropriate and wonderful one, and I wish you the Best of Luck with it!
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
I'm so glad you're here Carol to share your artistic and creative style with us!! A wonderful capture and your post-work makes this a perfect addition to the current contest:) Love this soft "fan"!!!
