Lovely shot, Carol, this little old building sure has to tell many beautiful and interesting stories.

Gaining knowledge doesn't depend on the size of the school, Carol!

A lovely capture of this little, but typical old school.

It's lovely. If walls could talk those would have many stories

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

The typical bare bones one-room school house, tending to the educational needs of either a small rural community or township. When these structures were larger, at least twice the size, they serviced more than one area, and were called a **consolidated** school, and usually numbered. I am quite familiar with them but have to say, this is the first one-room I have seen with a steel pipe rail on the front door stoop. Someone put a little extra effort into the place.
