"This existence of ours is as transient as Autumn clouds. To watch the birth and death of beings is like looking at the movements of a dance. A lifetime is a flash of lightning in the sky. Rushing by, like a torrent down a steep mountain. "
-Buddha
I worked at a power plant like that for a short time when it was being built. A very large and dangerous place to work. This is a beautiful capture. Well done

Great shot. Power plants a rarely thought of, and taken for granted, but without them, we wouldn't be able to see this fantastic picture - that would be a crime! Very good composition and blend of colours. Excellent work.
My little town only has two of these stacks and I've seen the steam pouring out on cold clear mornings, but with the blanket below the mass of concrete what you've got almost looks like a science fiction city and becomes quite beautiful
"There are things that we usually do not see, do not look at. Sometimes you need someone to show you the beauty of these 'ugly' everyday things." - Martijn Oostra
Well ... where I live we are either too poor to have our own power plant .. or .. far too rich and affluent to allow it anywhere near our domiciles ... I vote the latter
This is a really cool image .. for it shows me what my less well off neighbors have to look at so I can leave the lights turned on when I leave the room
That's a bit presumptuous...? And before you leave the lights turned on, think about your grand children and their children who will suffer the consequences.
"No race in all the Realms better understands the word Vengeance than the Drow. Vengeance is their dessert at the daily table, the sweetness they taste upon their smirking lips as though it was the ultimate delicious pleasure. And so hungering did the drow come for me." - Drizzt Do'Urden. READ MORE FANTASY.
Yes it is steam and, as such, causes little or no problem. The problems are elsewhere - the CO2 emitted from the stacks from burning brown coal, the 100,000,000,000 litres of water used each year to provide the cooling which is drawn from the rivers. Right now we need the power - my computer is running off it. But we also need an alternative - urgently!
"What other reason could there be to get up in the morning except to set ourselves free."
If my comment on your work ever seems to criticise, it does not. It is always so that we may learn together.
Exceptional, both as a photo capture and as a Pulitzer-style interpretation. Too close to a snapshot as it is, but some post-editing interpretations could elevate the image up to another level of this art.
