My highest vote for this one, hard to shot, Moment capture, good eye, best position fromthe light source and the light reflection balance in color, some flare but it is okay,, it is speed light action shot.
Congrates! keep the good work on here. :)
Hey, anybody can do this kinda shot. All it takes is a waterproof camera and a willingness to sit in the impact zone and get beat up by the waves. No problem!...lol. I just noticed on dpreview.com that Olympus is coming out with the 720sw digital which is waterproof, I might just pick one up so that I can share more of my ocean experiences. Hang Ten!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm very glad there are brave and talents photographers like you. I love this shot, but there's not a chance in the world that I would/could have taken it. Thanks for sharing it with us.
That is just a killer shot! Then add in excellent angle, color, focus, and precision, all knowing that you had to be in the water and *moving* when it was taken.... WOW!
I surfed in my teens (of course I lived in Hawaii and ditched school every time the wave report was good) but I would never have thought to actually try to capture a curl! This is a cool shot!!!
Ahhh, you have really done a terrific job here. It is a if the motion of the wave is about to break trough my screen and I am sitting in the splash zone!
Into my favourites, because I like swimming more than anything else!
Thank you for giving me this pleasure here behind the PC. Can't wait for summer!

A lot of action and motion here. I can almost feel the pull. How many times did you get hit to get this one to roll just right? Great way to fill the frame.
I knew that was Saly Creek. I board there all the time in the summer. I recognize the cliffs in the background! Great picture!! Do you have an waterproof housing or was that takin by a water prook camera? Wow...I really must know...great picture!! Who knows...I could have been paddling out that day!
No. The journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path. One that we all must take. The grey-rain curtain of this world rolls back, and all will turn to silver glass. And then you see it. White shores and beyond. The far green country unto a swift sunrise.
Your gift for photography is nearly matched by your gift for understatement. Amazing shot, with "water drama" I could stare at for hours. Colors and lighting are just.. right.. there. I feel like I'm caught in a commercial for the "refreshing, new something or other" bath soap... THIS is how I want it to make me feel.
Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
Congrates! keep the good work on here. :)
