This is so prettily composed and so very bright and cheerful...I smiled as it downloaded in the bigger size and I could actually see the heron in among all the various greens. :)PJ

Best capture of a heron I have seen yet. I took some shots of some of them today with a 200mm. I still needed mor telephoto to really bring them in close. Did you use a big telephoto on this? Very nice work.

Lovely color composition and DOF Chip.I would have cloned out the branch upper left.I think it draws the eye away from the main focus of the image.Superb capture!!

Lovely capture. Clear, great colors, and superb choice of subject placement. The leaves gracefully frame the heron which, in turn, adds beauty and character to it's surroundings as well--a perfect couple! The dry branch on the upper left side detracts a bit yet closes the image, keeping one's eye from wandering too deeply into the water. No matter what the opinion, this is a unique and peaceful photograph scene and you did a fine job capturing it. Excellent work :) -Twig
