I think is this is a little hawk, correct me if i am wrong, but i was watching tc when this guy flew into one of our windows, scared the living daylights out of me, and he was just sitting there so i stayed outside with it and took some pictures and made sure my cat would not get him. Enjoy Jake

This looks to me like a juvenile Red Tailed Hawk, light phase. (They come in two major color variants, light and dark, with some individuals anywhere in between.) The trouble is, you say it is a "little" hawk and the Red Tailed isn't little; he's 18" long, from tip of tail to beak. But then, this one may not be full-grown...or of course it may be something else!
Great shot, definitely a keeper. I love the expression on his face, even though he is obviously in shock...
