This looks very professional. Really like this a lot. Only thing I would change is getting rid of that glare or something in the top left, but that doesn't change my oppinion of the image. Nice work.
Thanks you guys. I appreciate the comments. The 4 stock images that I used were the pen, the tulip, the blank journal and 1 texture image. I had fun working on this one. I thought I had lost all creativity that was in me. It's coming back to me slowly. I tell ya...that is one horrible feeling - those ruts.
This is a thoughtful composition and a pleasure to work by on the desktop. I like that the three words that are positioned just in the right place to catch my attention often are "and some rest." ;)
lol BJ - you crack me up girl. I cant even remember what that line is about...now I'll need to go and read that poem again. It really is a great poem. Later on her son comes to her to tell her about the trees that are flowering "in the distance"...made me think that he was trying to tell her that it'll get better soon. Just like spring - a new day will come around again.
I dont normally do this - but I felt that the poem should at least be here so it could be read.
Sorrow is my own yard
where the new grass
flames as it has flamed
often before but not
with the cold fire
that closes round me this year.
Thirtyfive years
I lived with my husband.
The plumtree is white today
with masses of flowers.
Masses of flowers
load the cherry branches
and color some bushes
yellow and some red
but the grief in my heart
is stronger than they
for though they were my joy
formerly, today I notice them
and turn away forgetting.
Today my son told me
that in the meadows,
at the edge of the heavy woods
in the distance, he saw
trees of white flowers.
I feel that I would like
to go there
and fall into those flowers
and sink into the marsh near them
Ooh. nice manip Tracy and a great poem.
love the softness in it. very thoughtful. carries a lot of sorrow. an image which force you to reflects on things. good job^^
i just absolutly love this image. It is so evocative and is just oozing with sorrow, but at the same time has a very calming finality to it. Its just incredible 10/10 and in my favs!
wow....amazing...this one shows dat u put ALOT of work into it....its the little things that make it even more amazing...the way the flower seems to b part of the page by not showing in the sprial spine thingy of the notebook lol...amazing...the colours are great....LOVE IT...just absolutly amazing....10/10 here....great job :^D and as its been said b4....u are amazing at this kind of work....wow...keep them coming :^D
This is an absolutely beautiful image, but if I may make a humble suggestion - if it is possible, edit the font a little or write it yourself because from the d's and f's (which stand out) it is very obvious that it is a font, and therefore detracts from the beautiful image as a semirealistic photo as opposed to a combination of stock images. Still - one of my favorites - 10/10.
Also, the shadow for the little bendy things in the middle (spine?) and the shadow for the pen are slightly different.
This looks so beautiful, and so timesless, i love the poem, it's very beautiful, and the delicate tulip on the side adds a beautiful touch...goes straight to my favorites!!!!!! :) 34/10!!!!!!!
