This is a gorgeous shot. Whereabouts what it taken. I cant decide if it looks like Cornwall or Scotland LOL and they are very different places!!! I am a big fan of black and white and it really brings this image to life. There is almost a threatening presence in those clouds.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom i trust". Psalm 91: 1 and 2
For all who have asked, this shot is taken in the highlands of Scotland in a village called Plockton.
I used a tripod and an infra red filter, which cuts out all light except infra-red. As a result a relatively large aperture and long shutter speed are needed, f8 and somewhere around 15-30 sec. this brings a really moody and surreal feel to the photos.
Y'know, at first glance I thought this would make a good cover illustration, in b&w or color, for the Robert Louis Stevenson book, Kidnapped. Then I read your comment just above and see it was, indeed, taken in Scotland where David Balfour's odyssey begins. Nice piece.
