Language... has created the word "loneliness" to express the pain of being alone.  And it has created the word "solitude" to express the glory of being alone.  ~Paul Johannes Tallish

What an awesome quote - as I've learned to expect from you! What beauty to express the glory of solitude! So well done.

Love your commentary. I am a great believer in solitude. Solitude is a "chosen" state. Lonliness is not chosen but forced upon a person. Everyone should have some solitude to themselves. What a great place this is to experience that feeling.

Beautifully captured scene presented by your wonderfully creative and introspective mind...one who knows how to present the true meaning of the marriage of a dynamic pic and a powerfully written message. :)PJ

ditto ditto and once again ditto
I could not agree more with the quote and as Pat says your choice and render of place to cherish solitude is perfect.

I wonder if the derivation of the word 'solitude' has to do with 'sol', sun, which of course, is symbolic of 'God"
This is just beautiful, Terry.

Wonderfull picture ! does this lake has a damm ? i guess so, seeing the edge where nothing grows above the waterline. The peak in the middle of the image creates a good dept in the photo. Thanks for this one also Terry !
