Found this Blackbird singing its heart out near the River Trent at the weekend. Couldn't see him at first, but then spotted him in amongst the branches of this tree. I have just used a little colour with this as otherwise it would have been quite a two tone image. Hope you like it!

Like it? Wow! Very artistic, Ann. Way to go. I am so please to see you experimenting with color. I cannot shoot right at the sun and get the nice control as you show here. Now, in October, take this picture into PhotoShop, replace the blackbird with a black cat, make the sky dark and the sun a moon, and presto, it's Halloween! lol. ~~ John

This is excellent, Ann. It's a great silhouette and it is fantastic with the orange sphere that looks like the sun. I love it.

This makes me think of the Raven by Edgar Allen Poe. I'm slightly creeped out by it, but in a beautiful and poetic way. Very interesting image!
