I hope this squeaks under the wire for the contest. It's the result of layering different Apophysis fractals including The Mathematical Tree at Night. I nearly called it 'Dandelion Seeds' because of the fine, downy effect!

That is, in fact, a FABULOUS fine mess, Toodles. It looks like a blend of glass shards, textiles, and acetate, though no one thing behaves like "itself" end to end -- fascinating to look at -- and the colors really hit my Energy button!

How crass could I be? I downloaded this a while back and never got around to telling you how much I like it. It is a treat in my screensaver and on my desktop. Gorgeous!

A beautiful piece, the colours burst in a very pleasing way on the senses.
May I ask how it was made?

Hi Trill, thank you! It was done a while ago when I was still quite new to Apophysis. I suspect that I had a selection of different renders without backgrounds, layered together on top of a Photoshop gradient. I may also have experimented with different blend modes on each layer till I ended up with the result I Iiked best.
