One night when I was trying to sleep, I got the idea for this...

Photoshop and Illustrator CS5. I took a photo of one of Mum's clematises, and wanted as smooth a colour to come through as possible, so I used full strength noise reduction when editing in Raw. It felt naughty but nice. :-)

It leaves me in a quandary, though... do I post this under 'photo manipulation' or 'digital illustration'?? (After looking at Wiki definitions, I'm going with digital illustration for now).

LOL!! You're having way to much fun over there 'T'! I truly understand about the full strength noise reduction as I have used that process several times in some of my images...it's very effective:) This turned out wonderfully and I applaud you for your efforts:) The lighter hues really makes this a delightful presentation:) Good job:)

Why cant they have a category listed as "Just Cool"? That is where you would put something like this! Its a wonderful idea and very stunning! Best wishes for the contest!

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling.

Love all your work on this and done with restraint and style. Perhaps a wee bit cramped by the close edges but other than that, a really classy image for the contest.

It is not "The powerful attack the weak." it is "The fearful attack what they fear."
