Background fractal rendered in Tierazon v.29.
Baubles created in Photoshop CS5, along with some post-processing.
I arranged it so that if you are cropping this for a 2560 x 1440 monitor, you can just about keep all the baubles (except for the smallest one at the bottom!) I find this a comforting desktop... perhaps the colours cheer my spirits.

Something about the way you creatively handled the reflections on the orbs (diffused and muted to an extent).. is very reminiscent of something. Can't put my finger on what that something is, though.
An illustrative style of some artist? A genre of fantasy, perhaps?
That aside.. lends a very nice look and feel to your piece here overall.
Nicely composed, well-balanced.
Makes me feel.. calm and.. joyful, when viewing.
