Realism on both fronts, that of the render and raindrops is good good.
Find your image here to be.. quite soothing to view.
And aside from being peaceful, serene.. the deep rich colours of the landscape contrasted with pastels of the sky make for a bigger visual impact/impression on the viewer, vis a vis the overall minimalism of the scene.
Nice work, and but of course.. thank you for sharing this one with us. :o)
This is really good Sandra. From the thumbnail, I thought I'd be getting a view out your window onto the Highlands, but now I know you don't live in such drab surroundings. The regularity of the clouds is the first giveaway to me, then the crystal clarity of the focus across the window pane. Those are quibbles though and the result is very photorealistic. Especially your landscape, that really makes the viewer go in for a second look. Another minor quibble might be where you put your horizon line. Some zealots think the rule of thirds should apply to every picture, and I disagree, but you might try it on one of your renders. Ignoring it on this one though, projects a feeling of being there and standing in front of mother nature. It's a thoughtful, serene, slightly melancholy work of art. Sorry I'm so late to the party.
Thank you Russ, lovely surprise. (Accepts the bubbly). I think the other party-goers went home long ago, but it's still raining and Mother Nature is still growing. If we sit and watch for a while, some dust might blow by and stick to the glass. ;-)
