**Autopainted attempt 2**

Is it busy enough to merit the title? :-D

I quartered the original 'double exposure' picture to get greater detail, autopainting each quarter separately then masking them together in Photoshop (had to do ten or more bits in the end to cover all the cracks). I also straightened the window before autopainting -- I'd used a wide angle lens and it slanted strongly.

In addition a satellite dish obtruding into the picture had to be painted out.

Overall, I don't think it was worth the work, so it's not a method I will use again. Might be quicker to paint things myself!

Software used:

AutoPainter Express
Snapseed (on iPad) (for double exposure and other effects)
Photoshop CS5

Previous: Autopainted attempt 1.

Edit: suddenly remembered that this version is different from the first because I used AutoPainter Express on the Mac for this one, not AutoPainter HD on the iPad. Now I have a Canadian link and a US one!

ooOOoo.. ooOOoo.. you must have read my constructive critiquing mind!

Great improvement over the original upload.

In a nutshell..

The house/home was lost in the original.. to my eyes. Was going to suggest some masking and/or use of a Brush to fade parts to give more prominence.. but, you done already did it now.

Looking at the original once more.. was unaware, and/or the path didn't quite register visually and initially for me. Now, it sets the overall image off well, on the note of strengthening your composition.

Good good stuff.

Colours are in your face nice. (That's a good good thing.)

This is.. lovely. :o)

And..

But, of course.. thanks for creatively persevering and presenting us with this beauty.

And..

Again.. +favs for me.

p.s. But, this time.. it's an amped up +favs. The bestest kind of +favs, doncha know.

I'm glad you discussed all the work you did on it, and now it reminds me so much of the work of the 19th century French impressionists. Delightful and definitely "worth it." My major in college was for fine art and I spent a heckuva lot of time at an easel. I absolutely love the fact that I can do the same thing at my computer, where I can save various versions of my work until I'm satisfied, something I could never do with canvas and paint. Also, now that I'm in my 60s, I can't sit upright at an easel for hours and hours like I used to do. I highly suggest you enter this in the current manipulation contest. It's a placer for sure.

A delightful work Sandra and well deserving of its placement. It reminds me of an illustration in an old fairy story book - so lovely

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
