This was the one I was working on before rejecting it for Birthday Bouquet. Since then it has been sitting on my desk looking extremely sulky, so I gave in.

I removed the layers of editing that weren't working, and enhanced the colours.

Taken with Canon 6D, lens 16-35mm.

"I removed the layers of editing that weren't working, and enhanced the colours."

Well, now you have me curious.

But, curiosity aside.. this is a very nice companion image to your other shot of this bouquet.

Thank you. One of my original layers used the 'divide' blend mode, but that increased grain in the shadows... it got a very blocky look. I tried other ways of making it high key, but in the end went with full colour.

Is this kinda, sorta.. what you were after creatively?

Re: High Key image of "A Rosy View".

If so, this tutorial basically sums things up;

"Create a high key portrait using Photoshop CS6"

I skipped all of the "colour" steps for the eyes, though. Simply put, did the Curves Adjustment layer and a Desaturated duplicated layer and adjusted the Opacity of said-same.

And I think, that if instead of using Desaturate.. you actually did a Black and White Conversion (adjusting opacity still and afterward).. you could bring out more detail/colour where you desired. Like, and for example.. the bloom behind the dominant one.

Any -ways.. my droning on aside..

I was curious.

And through a comedy of steps and side-steps managed to download your image and had a play in Photoshop. And then, save the above edited version for your consideration.

I wanted to retain colour as well as have the pale look, but that's a pleasant image. ;-)

Thanks for the tips, will give it a try.
