Apophysis and Chaotica, enhanced in Photoshop CS5.

At some point I followed a tile tutorial in Apophysis and moved the flame to Chaotica. Could identify the flame used, but not the tutorial... bit of a headache! Finally found a note I'd made that one of my previous wallpapers (Flowery Tile Thing) was a Chaotica rework from an Apophysis flame made when I was following Platinus's Tiling Tutorial on DeviantArt.

Puffball most likely hails from the same origins. It's another old wallpaper that's been waiting since 2016!

Render info:

Date render ended: 21 August 2016
Elapsed time: 1d 2h
SL 16.35
DE Speed: 101.1
Efficiency (%): 91.8
AA3 Strong Ultra quality
Brightness 1.0
Gamma 1.75

PS: a note from Flowery Tile Thing that must also apply to Puffball:

"I changed all the variations so it's not similar to the tutorial result. I was probably also supposed to add a final transform and create warp and perspective, but had limited success... I prefer the straight wall for the time being."

I love the gradation of colors from corner to corner, and the strong contrast of light and dark. As my eye crosses the image the shapes change from squares to circles and the repetitive nature of the contents of each square creates an optical illusion, changing them from squares to slightly angled parallelograms. Definitely one for my favorites file, thanks Sandra.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Superb render Sandra. Love the sheen and glow on this. I know a tiny bit about the tiling effect as I use to use it in Paint.net a lot when I first started using that program. Don't use it now but it's fun to see it in action somewhere else:):) 2016 huh? Well it may be old but for us it's fresh and invigorating:):)

Whoa. Illusion! There is totally illusion of the image being bent. And I love the metallic sheen. Cheers!
