...for what, who knows? I would rather not find out. Actually, this literally gives me the creeps.
Apophysis 2.09, rendered 30 March 2009. BD's Droste-Plastic script. (Bart Doetsch).
My sparse notes add 'epispiral', but I'm not sure in what context -- did I add the variation after running the script, or is it a specific Droste script? Too long ago to remember.
Wallpaper set up in Photoshop CS5, 24 Oct 2018. Hue changed and other small adjustments made.

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
I am envisioning a group of trick or treaters at the door of an old Victorian mansion. "Trick 'r Treat" slowly dies on their lips as the door swings open to reveal this scene completely filling the opening. Moments later half of them are running screaming for the street as the rest are snared in the red web, the purplish blue eyes of giant spiders rushing in for a long anticipated meal. Bwaaahaaahaaaaa! A perfect seasonal wallpaper, Sandra. Spaciba, domo arigato, merci!

I rotated it 90 degrees and clipped a little of the black off one end, to use it for my iPad's vertical format. Every time I turn the Pad on I get to see this "altogether ookey" scene for Hallowe'en (hey, that rhymes!), lit from within by some hellish light. An altogether favorite. Thanks again. (can't believe I misspelled "domo", above)

Love the deep rich coppery colors and subtle glow...alien in appearance but nonetheless, VERY appealing...wonderful render, Sandra, and a fave for me!
