Most of the sunset on this night was lost behind the clouds, but this moment broke through and was absolutely perfect. I am dedicating this to Kristen, because although Connecticut is a beautiful place to live, such sunsets are a rare sight up there. Hope you like it :)

Josh: I almost never give a sunset/sunrise a perfect 10 but this one is an exception. I call most of them "cliché" shots. Fair ones are fairly easy but only once in awhile does one really jump off the screen. This is one of the latter.
My only regret is that I can only give it a 10.
This one gets a 10, in my Favorites and goes on my desktop for a week.

Looks pretty good to me. Luv the water reflection. The almost dark foilage and the still blue sky add depth and vibrance to the picture. I can't fault it for anything. Great work.

A couple of years later, but I have finally seen a gorgeous sunRISE. It wasn't a sunset, but it was a beautiful sunrise. The morning I moved back to Connecticut and was about to cross the North Carolina border, saying good bye to NC. It was very early, I was the only one on the road and I drove over a lake. The sun coming up was so amazing. It looked red through the clouds. Add in the reflection from the water...beautiful. I almost stopped to take a picture of it, but decided against it. I wanted to remember it for myself. It was a very emotional day for me, having to leave NC, so I'd like to think of that sunrise as mine. No pictures needed.

Where I live, near the Pacific Ocean, we have many beautiful sunsets as well. And I have to say this photo of your sunset is just awe inspiring!! There is something so wonderful at this time of evening, its as tho its our gift!! You brought all the natural beauty in a perfect way. Great stuff all the way around. COngrats on being there, it must have been absolutely magnificent and filled with peace...Verena
