When I saw your title, I thought of a similar title I had for a picture I posted some time ago, called "oil on water"
I can understand the hypnotic fascination with water, and in your image, with it bubbling up from the murky depths below, leaving an intriguing pattern of bubbles and froth.
As an abstract, it's perfectly adequate.
Perhaps you might add to your comments; to illuminate to your viewers, what it was that attracted you to capture this image.
From my perspective, I usually run many shots on the same subject and eventually post the one that I warm to the most, illuminating in the comments section what I was thinking at the time..etc.
And in the same way, I hope that others share a similar warmth to the subject. That's not to say that pictures of fabulous birds of paradise, sunsets or tropical flowers should rule the site.
However, judging by my orphaned comment and the low c score (which should never put you off by), your image is going to one that maybe only you love the most.
Keep clicking and keep posting as an image like this tells me that you have an eye for the ordinary-unusual.
The foam and the water create some interesting patterns. The photo could be sharper in focus with a bit of highlighting and contrast to bring out some of the details in the shot.
