I've invented some snow here (as I havn't seen any of the real stuff for years !). The place is the Test valley, and is real enough. It's a watercolour except for the bird the bush and the balloon which is Photoshop.
Very effective combination of the watercolour and PS, Trevor. The scene is reminiscent of Neil Jones' work [highest compliments indeed!] and that Paynes Grey and Raw Sienna sky is just perfect to set off the balloon. The border looks great too. Terrific image all round!!
Oh boy, another beautiful painting from you and skillful blending of the Photoshop elements...all finished appropriately with that framing...great job and thanks for sharing this somewhat nostalgic piece.:Pat.
Sorry for my lack of comments and responses lately...I'm waaay behind in both...trying to catch up with a temporary avatar change and a quick but much appreciated note.
Well this was a double pleasure. I not only got to enjoy another of your wonderful "watercolors" but this dense individual was made aware by you that objects could be superimposed into the painting as well. You'd think that would be obvious but I just never considered the possibility. I'm getting closer and closer to a "Rest Home" I'm afraid. :o) If that balloon manages to land in your painting I do hope the pilot remembers the courtesy code and presents you with a bottle of wine... you deserve it for providing such a beautiful landing area.
