Visiting the Ancient Greek archaeological sites in Asia Minor, Turkey, this photo is from an ancient temple (2,300 B.C.) and I must admit I was incredibly impressed upon viewing this surface of the temple (considering the floor was open to the ravages of time). Thanks so much for comments and advice, truly appreciated.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

How fortunate we are that you travel with camera. So much of our historical civilization was born in areas around you. Imagine standing so near a floor made nearly 4000 years ago!

I was attempting to figure out the temple in Asia Minor you may have taken this picture and am curious if it was Aphrodisias , which was settled during the Bronze Age, 3000-2200 BC.

2300 B.C.!! very impressive find and photo. I wonder what tools they used for cutting and smoothing the stones.

Isn't it amazing to be in the midst of antiquity and marvel at the people who have traversed it over the centuries?

Nice to see a part of history even if it is through someone else's eyes. Excellent photo.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
