Our wooden boat, in the bay of Kitries, in the Mani Peninsula, Greece. The name comes from "Panormos"... which basically implies the meaning of "cove where all the currents are hushed". We purchased this boat with our dear friend, it needed repairs from top to bottom, everything. But with our love of the sea, this was an enlightening and wonderful experience. Have had some wonderful adventures in all kinds of weather. Thanks for viewing.

Having a (wooden) boat can keep someone busy (due to the maintenance), but gives on the other hand the freedom to roam the sea and to explore adjacent unknown areas.
Much better than to stay at home, 'enjoying' the geraniums on the windowsills, 😜 !

Looks like a very nice beach in the background. I have to admire your zeal, in committing to the work of fixing up this wonderful boat. That takes so much energy and dedication.
Your picture reminds me of a movie that I loved growing up,"Beneath the 12-Mile Reef," which starred Robert Wagner and Terry Moore. I saw it on television in the late 1950's and I have never forgotten it.

It's a beauty Vicki, many hours of sailing lies ahead for you. It does take alot of maintenance, but can offer so many lovely days sailing.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
A lovely photo of your boat lying at anchor in the calm waters of the bay. I used to love sailing when I was a cadet but later no chances for such fun. The whole scene with that sky and the bay with the hilly shore behind.
