This UNESCO-listed site known as Nemrut, stands at over 7,000 feet and is the site of the 1st century BC mountain top tomb of King Antiachos / Epiphanes. It is famous for its 30 foot high statues depicting various mythological figures, all of which have seen their heads topple from their bodies. We went there two years ago, it was incredible to see ... we were visiting Gaziantep,Turkey on that trip. Thanks for comments and suggestions.

It is good you could keep your head and get this great shot when those all around you were losing theirs Vicki.
Looks like most of them landed right side up.
I bet it was something to see.

Vicki, your very interesting, good and well detailed capture made me curious to know more of Mount Nemrut, so I searched the net and have found THIS.
