We have visited Italy a few times, pure joy to go there. Only problem is, I cannot remember the museum where I took this photo. Thanks for viewing and commenting.
I believe your wonderful picture is "Spring Fresco" (also called the "Lilies Fresco" or "Room of the Lilies"). The artwork dates to the Late Minoan I period, around 1650-1550 BCE. Though I would love to say that I knew this from my college days, I didn't, I just didn't recall it. I got my info from a Grok search. You did an amazing capture of it from probably difficult lighting and other visitors milling about.
Vicki, John is right. In addition to his comment THIS LINK (see the image 'Spring flowers and swallows' ). He might be right as well when it becomes to the probably difficult lighting. Very good work anyhow!
I recognized this right off as being Minoan as seen in documentaries. This style of this art is beautiful and ahead of its time if you understand my meaning. Great photo Vicki.
