The bright light on the left attracts the eye away form the main subject which merges into the background a little too much. I think if you cropped this into a portrait format quite close in around the fountain it would work better, although you would probably have to lighten it as well. The long exposure and soft water looks nice on the fountain where you can see it.
First of all, Welcome to Caedes. The artists here are very helpful. I tend to agree with Chris's comments. The bright light does detract from the subject. Ignoring the light, I like this image.
It's really quite a beautiful shot, Valerie. Though there's much more detail than you've shown here. First, with the light so close it will always burn up in a night shot, but the distraction is the white pillar and roof along the Left border. Crop the left border in to the rounded stone wall and it's a significant improvement. Your center of interest is quite acceptable being fairly centered in this shot, but produces much more impact if you also crop the full archway on the right. As nice as the entire scene is, I think you'll see that the fountain now dominates the composition and the viewer's eyes travel unimpeded throughout and always return easily to the fountain where the action is. Also, a touch of Sharpen as well.
