Thanks, Tbob. I didn't actually make the bars lighter. I added light to the image. After I changed the cylinders to gold, the whole image darkened a lot, so I added a point light. I may experiment, trying to brighten the image without making the bars look so much lighter. Would need to manipulate the light differently...not quite sure how.

Like both of these images Wendy, have to admit I prefer this more, probably due to the darker colours. Agree with Scionlord that this does have a more "real" fealing to it. High marks from me.
Cheers.........
p.s. don't get too multi talented on us though, you'll make some of us jealous....gggrrrrr! :)
I like both pictures. They are both unique unto themselves and beautiful. This one reminds me of water world. Giant elevators taking us below the depths of the sea.
I like the composition of this mostly. Really makes you concentrate on perspective with the huge looking pillar in the back, and the detailed close-up in front. I agree with tbob, and I would also think about giving the "cage" a little thickness, other than that, nice job.
I was choosing between this one and the rainbow one for faving, and it's definitely this one. :-) The colours are cooler and the reflections in the glass add more interest. I like them both, though.
