Hello again Wen
I often wish I were a bird simply so that I could fly, and this is a great aerial view !! Only problem is this looks a bit chilly, and I get more fussy with age.

Life's around said Phil the 35 millimetre cameraman. I recently went to the doctors, and said I've got icon fever, but he told me there was no cure for the disease.
"The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place; from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spiders web." Pablo Picasso
I really like this change. Somehow, it suggests more of a story and arouses my curiosity more. Maybe it is partly the number of balloons - is this a race? are they after something? It reminds me of some of the scenes from Pullman's _Dark Materials_ series which involves hot air balloons over icy wasteland. Terrific work. I like the way the foremost balloon is not too intrusive so that the eye is drawn to the balloons in the distance first.
I am honoured to be listed as a friend or to see an image of mine as a favourite, but I keep lists of neither. This helps me appreciate images uploaded by strangers as well as friends. Please understand that a failure to reciprocate in kind indicates a lack of appreciation for neither gesture nor work.
Wow! I would be hard pressed to believe you could have improved this image, but I do like the balloons. Just an excellent piece of artwork, I believe. Thanks for sharing.
Wen, I like both version but may lean more to the first one with the plane. I think the strengh of both of these pictures is the background. You have such a wonderful thing going on with the sky, clouds, and mountain range. You could have a flock of flying nuns up there and still have a wonderful picture just because ot the work you have done with the background.
Wendy, if you allow me one little tiny bit of advice: soften up the balloons and mountains just a notch. Because from how I see it that is the single thing to improve and make it look absolutely perfect.
I hope you forgive me....

I began my terrain-generating days on a 7.16 mhz machine .. that's why I don't do it anymore, my doctor advises against it
