When I was a youngster I went to school at Western State College in Gunnison Co., and had a chance to speak with an old timer with the highway dept. He said it's called the "Million Dollar Highway" because of the gold ore tailings used in the road base construction. Beautiful shot.
Traveled a lot of America's roads in 19 years. Don't think I made it down this one. Sure wished I had. What a beautiful ride and a grand capture. Your perspective makes it look like I'm comin right down the road. Good Job.
