"Once you have heard the lark, known the swish of feet through hill-top grass and smelt the earth made ready for the seed, you are never again going to be fully happy about the cities and towns that man carries like a crippling weight upon his back."
- Gwyn Thomas
I'm really into goth rock and new wave. My favorite band is The Birthday Massacre. The guy in my avatar is, in fact, a guy. His name is Mana from the band Malice Mizer.
Incredible. Quite a contrast and dramatic transition of reflections and colors. I'm counting on that downed dead tree to mark the spot for me. Going to find it one day. ;)
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
That is an amazing shot! The way the water reflects the sky! Just fantastic! You can miss with scenery like this, but your focus and aim were RIGHT ON!! wow!! And the way the trees hug the mountains....Colorado is such a beautiful state! I lived in Denver for a while...great city! This is a fav. for sure!!
Everything balances out in this image Michael. The blue of the sky, the blue of the water. the green of the lake, the green trees, the blownish mountains, the brownish grass in the left lower of the image. This is perfectly composed. Excellent color & quality. Into my fav's on my hd. Thank you for allowing me to visit CO vicariously through you :))
Hi Michael . Dont think that I have commented on your shots before. This one is really cool and I'am glad that I came across this. You have composed this with great care and focused this with complete accuracy. Love the lighting too.
My gosh, so much in one photo, beginning with the bare mountains, oprogressing on down togreen forests then to calm placid water and ending with a rippling stream. All of is focused, sharp and clear. What a place to camp out. Excellent capture.

Every mammel on the planet develops a natural balance or a certain equalibrium with the world around them but we humans do not, we move to an area and we multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way we can survive is to spread to another area. There is only one other organism on this planet that follows the same pattern, a virus. Human beings in the intrest of the planet are a desiese a cancer of this eath. (Kinda makes you proud dosen't it)
