I'm assuming there's a road that allowed someone to haul that table up there? 7400+ feet above sea level-Harney Peak, a popular hiking destination in the Black Hills of South Dakota, has a stone tower/shelter at the trail end. The materials for its construction, in 1939, would most likely have been hauled the 3 miles from the nearest road by mules. What you have here must be quite a magnificent view for the picnicker lucky enough to lunch here. That would be... ummm... you! Nice shot, Janelle.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.

Dont say a few months! I dont want Summer to go quite yet!! This looks to be a very scenic view and it would be very nice to sit at that picnic table eat a little lunch and take in the sights. Great shot!

"Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes."
And you'll be eating chocolate snowballs in front of a roaring log fire...chocolate snowballs are a soft fondant filling covered in chocolate and sprinkled with shredded coconut..Yummy
“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.”
Before the snow starts a flyin', let's have us a cookout. You bring the steaks and taters, I'll bring the grill and a keg a Bud Light. LOL. Beautiful shot.
I'll bring the wine and some goodies as well... This looks like a special place, Janelle. I like your composition: the 'alpine' meadow and the fir trees, and especially the picnic table... It reminds me of going to the top of Cannon Mt. in New Hampshire... I was nine years old and loved every minute of it!

The nature changes with the change of season,it is not possible to stop the small plants to raise their heads even after being covered by heavy snow......Beautiful. Bijan.
