Photography now days is all about editing. If you don't do it the photo just becomes a snap shot. This is a nice shot but some well placed editing would make it a super fine shot.

This same angle is the opening scene in a Korean War-era movie, starring Sidney Portier and Alan Ladd, "All the Young Men" (1960 - part of the movie was filmed in Glacier park, other parts in Oregon). Watching the movie I found it interesting that Glacier looks as beautiful in black & white as it does in color, but can you imagine the national park service allowing explosions and tanks in their park today, during the winter? Today, just on the right side of these trees, there is a wooden boardwalk that runs about a half-mile out to the west, to protect the surface plants from hikers. By the way, for those of you who are wondering, that's Reynold's Mountain back there and the Logan Pass interpretive center is to the left, off-screen.
