Yellowstone, is such a unique place to visit, even though I was young when we visited there, I remember very well. You did a good job on capturing the colors in this one. Tigs♥ =^..^=
Mammoth Hot Springs, right? I've only been there once, briefly, but my kids spent their honeymoon in Yellowstone last year. These formations are always stunning and your capture, cropped as it is, shows their real beauty. The side-by side repetitive shapes of varying colors, further augmented by the shadows from the light to the left, create a crazy quilt pattern. Actually, that's a very cool idea; for a quilter to replicate this image with quilted applique. I'll have to snag a copy to see if my wife, a quilter, thinks it's a crazy idea or not, and another for my kids to remember their time there. Excellent work, Vanda.
