So I went back to college, and began a Photoshop class (which I ended up having to drop), but this was one of our first assignments...to revisit a picture and brighten it up. I think the details and color are a bit better now, and you can see Chief's tattoos which are a history of his family line and his ranking as a Chief of Samoa. In the background are the Ko'o'lau 's. The picture was taken while riding in a canoe on Kamehameha's Fish Pond, which is located behind Tropical Farms-- a business my Husband's family owns. The original can be found HERE

I can't compare it to the original, but it looks pretty vivid to me. The colors are quite bright.

Nice shot and reworking.. i can't say that the lighting is great, but i still think it is a good image with the dramatic mountains in the background, and the villagers traditional dress.

The colours, portrait and background are gorgeous. I feel it's still dark in some place, like the shadow on the chief's face and the lower part of the right foreground.
