The same morning as Gautier Sunrise, on the other side of the piers. The colors were fading quickly and the birds seemed to be fussing about me invading the morning routine.
I think a fish just jumped while you were shooting this beautiful photo E~. The color really draws one into the photo. The grasses make a nice contrast and reflections. A simple scene done very well.
I love everything about this, Elizabeth... The blades of grass mirrored, the pale pink color and the subtle blue and cream swirling gently in the water. Nicely done.

Well done for spotting this Elizabeth. The water is almost metallic, with lovely sunset colours, and I like the position and line of the reeds too. Tick's right, it's simple and beautiful.
Having spent many endless hours in my painting studio in college, I enjoy playing around with filters in Photoshop, turning my photos into paintings in a matter of minutes. This photo of yours, Elizabeth, looks as ethereal as an impressionist painting from a hundred or more years ago... without the use of filters. The tiny ripples in the lower left softly reflect light yellow and gray clouds in the sky, giving way to orange and peach closer to the horizon, in such strong contrast to the silhouetted reeds. I also enjoy photos like this one in that I always find myself looking closely to determine the point at which the reeds enter the water - looking for that telltale bend. This is such a peaceful photo it's going into my favorites, my own desktop pictures folder, and onto the monitor of my best friend who occasionally needs a little peace in her day. Thank you for sharing your talent.
The first rule is: Remove the lens cap!
The second rule is: Always take a litter bag in your car - if it gets full, you can just throw it out the window.
