6 am at the Riverfront Piers. I've taken so many morning photos at the piers, marina and nearby river fronts I have avoided returning until recently. A late spring shows the cypress is still bare.

Hi Elizabeth
It will get its leafs pretty soon I expect. What a really beautiful sunrise! Nice colors and reflections in the water. The silhouettes of the tree and fence or rail is also very nice.
an instant fave!

Absolutely mezmerizing!! A sunrise, how awesome. Here we only get to see clear sunsets, not that that's bad...but the sunrise shows up only on the 'other' side of the Cascade Mountains. I would bet the peacefulness was just wonderful! What a most beautiful scene and photo.
This is so refreshing and just wonderful. And there is always something special about silhouettes like yours.Verena

A fabulous composition, with the railing and tree providing a perfect frame to that gorgeous sunrise.

Elizabeth ... make no mistake about what is to follow.

First and foremost ... gorgeous image, very well-composed and most fitting as an entry to the current contest.

Couldn't help myself when I first saw your image here. Took it up to the highest resolution for a look see.

Some noise is present. Understandably, given the low light conditions. And on this note, I downloaded your photo ... did a slight Curves adjustment ... more importantly, ran it through Neat Image. (<--- Link to freeware or 'demo' version.)

Differences between the 'pro' and 'demo' versions.

Here is the result:

"Monday Morning in March - reworked"

That nonsense of mine aside, and above all ... nice shot. And but of course, thank you for sharing this one with us.

Best of luck in the contest. :o)

I said it before and I'll say it again: no one take sunsets and rises like you do, Elizabeth. Normally I remove any contrails from my sky photos but this one (I'm assuming that's what it is in the center) really adds a unique touch to the photo. Into my favorites file it goes, thanks.
