Same bayou, taken from a pathway. Most of the rivers, marshes and bayous here lead to the gulf. Higher tides plus rain filled this shoreline nearly to the rim. This was taken in October, you can just see the beginning of color change in some cypress and grasses.

Except for the tiny ripples, very much like a mirror. I find it interesting that water reflections of sky always seem to deepen the color. I think it's because water provides a naturally darker backdrop, whereas the sky is more like our backlit computer screens. Perhaps someday you'll take a reflection photo where the horizon line is exactly in the middle and the reflection is an exact copy of the scene. Then, submitting it upside down, we won't know what's Memorex and what isn't! Are you planning to submit this beauty for the current contest?
