Elizabeth Those branches go on forever! The moss hangs off like tinsel on a Christmas tree. I hope this is your entry for the contest because I think it will do very well. Just an incredible looking Oak! Paul
Liz,I do not see this in the contest (yet) but agree with Mr C that it would be a great one to be in the race. If you should decide to enter it - best wishes! ~~ John
What a magnificient tree! Well old enough to have a name such as Venerable One or Mighty Holder of Knowledge! Lovely subject and I really like the bits of red flowers acting as jewels. Very, very nice!
Wow this is beautiful Elizabeth the colours and detail are stunning and these trees always capture my imagination. So hunting looking but at the same time fascinating too.Well done to a great looking photo.

I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
Congrats on the win, Liz. It's a terrific photo and entry and, apparently, yet another subject matter (other than Gulf sunsets and sunrises) in which you excel in capturing. I can imagine a couple kids sitting on one of those low branches n the far right... "Jenny and I were like peas an' carrots, again."
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
Wonderful shot of this beautiful old Oak, congratulations on First Place!! This reminds me of a park nearby where I live (also on the Gulf Coast) :) 'Lisa
