Taken on a HOT day in "Garden of the gods" in Colorado. Beautiful place, but hard to photograph "clean" rocks because they were spotted with rock climbers. (cropped)
This is a wonderful capture. The contrast between the sky and they rocks in both the colours and shapes is just stunning. Lovely perspective too. Im glad you found a rock with no climbers on! 10/10
I'm really into goth rock and new wave. My favorite band is The Birthday Massacre. The guy in my avatar is, in fact, a guy. His name is Mana from the band Malice Mizer.
Einstein's theory of relativity: Grab hold of a hot pan, a second can seem like an hour. Grab hold of a hot woman, an hour can seem like a second. It's all relative.
as a climber I appreciate you pointing out a piece of virgin rock
care to take a snap now?
/me waves while clinging on half way up :P
simply super sky and rocks
great juxtaposition in the colours
the texture of the rock is inspirational (for climbers like me)
if you wont mind a slight intentionally constructive comment that: I find the composition slighty unusual, I cant quite put my finger on it but I think its that theres no focus as such The spike of rock starts from a blank spot bottom right and ends up in the middle somewhere or nowhere
a recrop would fix that immediately
you could play with 1/3rds or some strong diagonal lines with a rotate of the whole thing
anyway ... im really enjoying this photo as it stands and with its possibilities
