A medieval garage door! Now, how cool is that? I love the detailed carving throughout but if I might make a suggestion Andreea, if you can pull back just a little, to include a little more of the surrounding area, the subject won,t seem so cramped. You might also shoot this sort of image from a slight oblique angle, with the main subject to one side of the frame and whatever structure it's a part of in the distance on the other side of the frame. That way, it puts the subject into its proper context. Direct, head-on shots are fine for documentaries but I think you're looking for the artist images I know you are capable of. Your "Up in the... North" is a good example on putting subjects in context and your "Venice - pont dei sospiri" is a good example of when a direct, head-on shot is perfect. Just a thought from this graying head. :D
