Hi, nice to meet you! I think this photo is very pretty, the colors of pale coral and green together are very appealing! I think you did a good job, but perhaps the main subject is slightly out of focus, but otherwise the image is very well done! I hope you continue to share your work with us, as I will be looking forward to viewing more! Thank you! Sincerely, Marilyn

Allow me to say this first ... hopefully ... hopefully ... you can post the larger resolutions next go round. It will benefit both us the viewer and you, the artist.

Hmm ... I also have to say ... that I am a little disappointed in the C-Index you have received thus far. It is only an indication ... but, I really feel that is not representative of the image you offer here.

I was stunned ... that's a good thing ... upon first viewing it in thumbnail. (Now hold on, I do have some caveats though.)

Compositionally, this is stunning for me. Same goes for the colour palette that is present in the image. Annnd ... adding that slight amount of texture via the wall in the left-hand portion ... you are really hitting on my artistic soft spots.

Annnnd ... add the light play ... wow. Just wow.

Caveats? (Told you they were coming. :oP) ...

Marilyn is correct in her assessment. You got the DOF wrong in this one. At least for me, if your intention was to blur the bloom ... then it is a question of artistic sensibilities. I would love ... love to see you replicate this exact image once again ... just narrow the DOF to showcase this gorgeous floral creature.

Nice work. Really nice work and thank you for sharing your efforts.

p.s. Spot on with the offset placement. So many more things are correct with this one of yours. :o)

p.s.p.s. I have to ask ... my curiosity is ... you know ... is this flower real? 'Cause I think maybe you could give me some advice as to how to properly care for one's plants then. :oP

I hope I'm not assuming too much but if this is a flash capture, I can say that your composure and lighting for this shot is right on. The colors are complimentary and the sharpness of the leaves is excellent. I would have liked to have seen the subject matter - the hibiscus - as sharp as the leaves (personal preferrence). If I might suggest, it might benefit you to take several shots of a subject, because often captures will appear sharp on the small LCD of a camera only to find something you don't like when viewing it on the computer screen. Redundancy also affords one slight variations in selecting the most desirable image for presentation. Thanks for sharing your work and hope to see more from you in the future.............Neil

I absolutely love the lighting on this picture and the overall feeling it gives me, would have liked the focus on the flower to be a little better. giggles and says "Jas doesn't really like flowers all that much to begin with, loves leaves"
