A more traditional type of manipulation, used Amida's Gammon Head Beach for the base. All photoshop work, a special thanks to my dad for giving me the extra viewpoint on this. Comments/questions welcome 8•)
This is beautiful. And such a thought provoking, and at the same time, a very tranquil image for me. Love ... love your title. Apt, doesn't even come close. Perfect? ... yes.
What an incredible manipulation. Without the benefit of your narrative, I would have thought that this was pure cgi. And that ... that is the highest compliment I can pay you.
Caveats ... a little more illumination on the right-hand portion, simply, because you leave me wanting to see more of this in its' best 'light.' Really nice work Cat. Really nice.
You've done a great job of portraying my favorite time of day: twilight. There's a hint of Maxfield Parrish in this: just a touch of his blues...a bit of his hyper-realistic details...a feeling that I can't describe. Beautiful work. Good luck.

Great stuff. I really like what you did here. I'm more and more regretting having entered this contest. I can't compete with talented people like you. ;)
Very very cool Cat....I'm really impressed. Love the way your twilight blends into the night & the sky refelecting on the water is so well done ...all in all, in my opinion, a winner ! Good luck in the contest Cat, I'm sure you'll do well.
This is gorgeous Cat! Great pink sky and awesome water reflections. I love the way you even put the little stars in the sky!! Very nice work!! Good luck in the contest!..=)
Thank you all for the great comments. Know what the only problem w/doing this right before the contest deadline? There's about 14 things I'd want to fix if I'd had an extra day to look @ it. lol. (Have I mentioned I'm a slight perfectionist?).
Anyways… my carpal tunnel is happy I'm done now, and between the masking job on this and the hair of creatures on the other… *goes off to find icepack for the wrist*
Well this is for me the best manipulation of my capture. . a lovely balance between not loosing the original and yet adding so much more to the subject. Well done and I hope you win with this one!!!!
I could wile away the hours
Conferrin' with the flowers
Consultin' with the rain
And my head I'd be scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain
Very creative and imaginative; I love this and you did a great job on this one. I enjoy looking at other artist’s posting on this site. There are a lot of great creative people. Thanks for sharing!
Okay. So you're in the Heart of a Storm. Everything is perfectly calm, right? But you know that at any minute that calm is going to go away, and everything is going to be in chaos, and the world around you will literally blow you away. I want to be there.
