Well hi there Andrew..always a pleasure to see a post of yours pop up on the screen.
This type of bird does not (to my knowledge) frequent my neck of the woods :)
Rachel sure is pretty. I love the soft foliage that surrounds her. It certainly is a lovely background for your beautiful feathered friend!
The distraction for me is the twigs near the bottom. It tends to draw the viewers eye away from the birdie. Isn't it a shame that nature refuses to co-operate with our photographic skills? :o)
Her eye is peering inquisitively at something or someone? Good focus.
I am really enjoying the nice touch with the pink flower that contrast so naturally with Rachel's current wardrobe.
