It's hard to know the scale in these images. I'll have to post one that includes a person. Those peaks are pretty large. The dirt is really ash from the recent volcanic activity. The blending the blue ice and black ash made the glacier look like a huge jewel. It was gorgeous.

It still looks yummy! I wish I had a nice big bowl of that ice cream with some chocolate syrup. LOL. Another beautiful shot of that ice.

It doesn't look like dirt to me because it is so black but I still don't think I'd want to eat it, Jimbo can have all he wants, lol! I wouldn't want to eat ice cream while standing on a freezing cold glacier anyway! I can't imagine hiking there, it must have been breathtakingly beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing a shot with a person for scale...
