This may very well be my favorite post of yours so far. The color is very eye-catching, especially the goldfish over the blue. Your work is some of the most unique stuff on Caedes.
Hi Mirbabak, oh so many concepts rolled into one here, makes for such and interesting and delightful image. I love this one, the utility of colors is lovely, so appropiate for spring and other happy seasons. The colored eggs are so Easter-like. Your talent amazes me! High marks from me!! Sincerely, Marilyn
I just looked through your gallery and your work is very interesting. My favourite pieces would be this one and "Evening Fall" (and there are others, of course, but these two are the strongest visually to me).
This image's composition is what first drew me to view it more carefully. I am wondering if the balance could not be improved if elements, or I should say more elements of the rug were to be included in the lower left hand and central bottom portion of the image. The qualities and textures of the knots work rather well throughout and I am curious as to why you omitted more of them.
And admittedly, as I would not have wanted to be the one to have cropped the 'grass' (herbs?), that singular aspect seems to be, again, at least for me, the weak link in the overall imagery. The grass's texture is sort of an undecided, however, the colour works well in it's placement.
Ahh, but, the colours ... absolutely wonderful. And the textures that do so work well with one another (a little joke here, as for the most part, they do :) ). Very intriguing and here, is where I wish I had the benefit of being able to ask you some questions about your piece.
Take this 'constructive' criticism as a compliment, for to have provoked discussion is really the highest praise for an artist in my books. I look forward to seeing more of your work, as this is a new category for me ... and I know my appreciation will grow with exposure.
Norooz is "New Year" in Persian. (1st day of Spring, March 21). The objects here are not merely representative of Spring - they are seven objects that start with the letter "seen" in Persian, and they are traditionally placed on a mat or rug throughout the New Year.
This is amazing! The combination of colors is perfect, as is the backdrop. The fish look like they are really with the other objects. This is a fav for me :)
Fun pic. Don't you hate how its impossible to blend the grass tips when using an overlay? Big distraction. I'd fix that or abandon the grass and put in something else that will blend like veggies. I could see this in someone's kitchen.
