A waterfall over a slate outcrop in one of the cloughs (old English for a ravine)about 2000 feet up on Kinder Scout in the Peak District. The rain clouds coming in over the plateau means we had to abort our hike as this little brook could becoming a raging torrent very quickly, and we had to ford it numerous times to get here. The orange tinge in the rocks is caused by iron ore. I am still trying to get my monitor calibration right, so if this looks a little bright could you please let me know. Enjoy.

I like the "steps" of the slate under the waterfall as contrasted with the rounded curves of the hills beyond. The sky looks ready to burst...hope you didn't get too wet going home! Re the monitor...I use two on my desktop computer...one is a little brighter than the other. I never know which one to calibrate to for Caedes since so many people have laptops and need a brighter pic. [I have no problem with anyone ramping up (or down) the brightness of anything of mine that they download to suit their monitor.] This one looks fine on both of my monitors.
