This is one of those rhino beetles. Do you think he is macro worthy? He is on some really worn painted wood. I don't think I'll keep him as a pet.

Oh my goodness, he's huge and Ugly. Outstanding detail and colour. I don't think they are around here at least I haven't seen any.

This big bug would give me the jitters. Excellent detail & I can see how it got it's name. A wonderful example of a macro ... should do well in the contest. Superbly captured, Frank.

Heck of a shot, Frank, and a hearty congratulations. That's one big beetle, but I think the shot would have looked even better if you hadn't tried to sign your name on the back of his head.
